SUSTAINABILITY Shannon Scott Design is committed to the mission of sustainability, while simultaneously meeting our Client's project objectives. As creators of spaces and environments, it is our responsibility as designers, to provide sustainable design solutions which are both sensitive to the environment, and create the lowest impact possible. In doing so, we are also creating spaces which are healthier to inhabit and exist within. SSD specifies, emphasizes, and attempts to use environmentally sustainable products and materials whenever possible. This includes using natural materials, low-impact manufactured products, antiques, and environmentally friendly finishes. This is an exciting new area of design, with new sources and materials rapidly developing. Companies are recognizing the value and benefits of using environmental products and it has become increasingly beneficial to be recognized as an environmental property. |
